Getting off my butt....

Hello all welcome to the craft room. We have been busy all summer and I have neglected you and all things social media. I want to get back on track so here is the first of hopefully many posts.

If you don't know me I'm a lover of all crafts!!! I have yet to find one that makes my heart happy all the time. I am not a writers so please bare with me when it comes to proper writing techniques.

My husband builds custom western furniture, (www.howkolafurniture.com) that I paint on when requested. I'm not an artist but can pull off the designs that we do. I don't have a full time job due to 3 levels fusions in my lower back. I'm unable to sit or stand for extended periods of time. I also deal with Chronic Pain daily. Crafting keeps me from driving myself and loved ones crazy. I'm also a Mom of 3 absolutely perfect boys (Men) and the YaYa to 3 soon to be 5 perfect grandbabies. There is so much more to the story I will tell as we go.

My newest hobby is beading. I took a class from one of the artists from By Western Hands (www.bywesternhands.org) to learn basic beading skills. I completed a tissue box. Pictured below. It did inspire a couple of ideas as far as free beading. Tim and I came up with a few projects that I could to to add to his furniture, possible lamps or the banding around arms of club chairs. That will be a TBC project.

Of course the never ending cleaning of my craft room continues. I don't think I will be ever done. I've also been finding great projects that are boxed in the unfinished mode and kind of want to go back to them. No, No, self control!! I'm suppose to be cleaning. LOL
